 insurance industry and has held various positions including Underwriting
 , Risk Management and Business Strategy Analyst.\n\nAlthough Melanie cur
 rently owns her own consulting firm she was a corporate trainer and deve
 loper for a large national company for 10 years and prior to that she wa
 s a named underwriter with Lloyds of London. Melanie’s true expertise 
 is in commercial and specialty lines however she also teaches the RIBO/A
 gent licensing course as well as CIP courses across Canada and has a str
 ong understanding of the broker’s role and how to make them successful
 .\n\nMelanie was awarded the Instructor of the year award through the In
 surance Institute of Ontario numerous times and in 2011 was awarded the 
 national Emerging Leader award through the Insurance Institute of Canada
